KASU’s ERDC and LeedGate Innovation Hub Sign MoU to Strengthen Innovation and Entrepreneurship
On Monday, 25th November 2025, LeedGate Innovation Hub and the Entrepreneurship Research and Development Centre (ERDC) of Kaduna State University (KASU) took a major step toward advancing innovation, research, and capacity-building with the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU was signed by Dr. Jamila Muhammad, Director of ERDC, and Mal. Aminu Kyari, CEO of LeedGate, at the KASU campus – marking the beginning of a strategic partnership built on shared values and a shared vision for development.
“This partnership with LeedGate aligns with our mission to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. It creates new pathways for our students and the wider community to gain relevant skills and explore solutions that drive development. This isn’t our first; we will continue building bridges between academia and industry.”
A Partnership Anchored on Innovation and Impact
This collaboration is designed to open doors for students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and young people across the state. Through the MoU, LeedGate and ERDC will jointly implement programs that nurture ideas, inspire creativity, and support the growth of sustainable ventures.

The agreement focuses on:
- Co-creating and delivering entrepreneurship and innovation programs
- Supporting research activities and academic–industry collaborations
- Providing mentorship, technical expertise, and advisory support
- Enhancing capacity-building initiatives through workshops, dialogues, and community outreach
- Facilitating access to networks, resources, and opportunities for innovators
Both institutions share a commitment to empowering young people and strengthening the innovation ecosystem through practical, meaningful engagement.
